While having a weakness in a leadership skill set may not be a positive idea, it can lead to recognition and a path to improvement. Leadership weaknesses can be strengthened and developed with consistent practice and a motivation to learn. However, too often leaders are afraid to acknowledge they have shortcomings in their leadership skills. All too often this results in poor relationships at work, micromanaging, inconsistency, a lack of awareness, and blaming others for the actions of poor leadership.
