Mainline Executive Coaching ACT
Steam Locomotives were some of the most powerful machines ever built. They represent vision, ingenuity, collaboration, and extraordinary human achievement. However, to get to the next destination, they had to be directed to the mainline. This required someone directing the train through a series of switches to reach the right destination. Just like these amazing machines, leaders and organizations alike need the right direction to reach their destinations. Intelligent Leadership is the key to success and cultural transformation. With over 50 years of combined success in executive leadership, cultural transformation, and executive and emerging leader development, Rich Baron and Maikel Bailey bring to light some of the most pressing issues facing leaders and organizations today. Hand-picked and certified by the world’s top leadership development authority, John Mattone, we will partner with you to improve your leadership ability and cultural transformation in ways you never thought possible. When There Is Poor Leadership, Everything Else Sucks!
Unfortunately, global statistics show that most organizations don’t have effective leaders. The truth is that the vast majority of people in "leadership positions" aren’t trained to be leaders! Even those who may have pursued advanced business degrees are likely overwhelmed by theory, not practical advice and opportunities for application.
Unfortunately, in many job settings, skilled individual contributors tend to be promoted into leadership positions, whether they have the requisite leadership skills or not. This all too common practice leads to a significant leadership skills gap in most organizations.
The bottom line is that just because somebody is in a leadership position doesn’t mean they have leadership skills. When leaders fall short everyone suffers. Or in other words, everything else sucks.
Rich and Maikel dive into the deep end of poor leadership on this episode of Mainline Executive Coaching ACT.
